I am a 24 year old mother & wife  and have lived in Oregon my entire life. I had married my best friend Dennis in 1999 and we now have a beautiful family of three. My little artists Kortney 6, Lyndsey 3, and Carter 1 keep me busy and continually inspired with new ideas. Each new experience with them has truly inspired my life and my passion for art and sharing that with others.

My family and I go camping a lot and I love to go fishing with my children and friends. I come from a large family in which I am number 2 of 6. My mother Cindy Musgrove is a doll artist as well as two of my sisters. My very young sister sculpts as well. Let's not forget my two brothers who are artists too.

I began painting and drawing portrait pictures of my family and sculpting small animals to sell at a young age. In Dec. 2004 I started my first baby doll ~ Victoria ~ and have been madly in love with the art since! After beginning my career in nursing awhile ago, I found it too demanding for my family and we decided not to have any more children, so I guess you could say that this was one of my inspirations and drives for most of my little baby sculpts.

After painting a portrait of my youngest sister Brittany, I realized I could paint my babies as lifelike as I did in my paintings and they nearly come to life! I had taken them to a store with me and I was absolutely thrilled when the first person to comment said "Shhhhhh, oh look, a new little one!" She then approached me up close and I had to tell her the baby wasn't real after several minutes up close. She was touched that this baby had captured a precious moment in time. I saw first hand from someone else the beauty of art and the way others share and portray your own thoughts and feelings.

To me babies are so special because they really only stay "newborn" a couple of weeks. This is why it is so important for me to share this with others. It is so magical to me to see such a helpless creature that went through the same thing to be born into the world that you did. I think that it is interesting how they turn out so differently, like when you have your own and it's always a surprise how they will look. The same is true for me in my sculpting as they come to life on their own with their own individual personalities.  Currently, I am having my sculpts reproduced for Master Piece Dolls - HSE, Reborn Doll Kits, soon in my own reproductions of vinyls and silicones.    What hobby or joy could be more satisfying? In Sculpting and Reborning, you can make them just stay small forever!                        Wendy
